Another high profile project takes off in the U.S. combining state-of-the-art Bandera and PTi extrusion technologies.
In addition to several extrusion systems supplied in 2016 for PET sheet lines, Bandera and PTi cooperate for the supply of a complex group of extruders designed for the production of a new generation, 5-layer, rigid and semi-foamed PET sheet. This unique system will produce mainly food packaging products and is scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2017.
One of the world’s leading packaging producers selected Bandera’s co-rotating twin-screw extruders (HVTSE) combined with PTi’s controls automation and downstream, with the intent of using the well-established rigid sheet technology to widen their scope of activities to include semi-foamed sheet production in the U.S.
Bandera and PTi have successfully cooperated since 2010, offering combined technology solutions for PET rigid sheet production in the North American market, ensuring U.S. converters get forefront extrusion technology coupled to quick and efficient technical services.
North American packaging producers are demanding greater overall system flexibility in order to process products made from a variety of different polymers. Including those made from recycled and/or biodegradable materials. Bandera and PTi offer a substantial advantage through their joint supply of innovative extrusion technologies that are well suited for addressing these market challenges.
